Residential Housekeeper
Santa Ynez, CA
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Housekeeper to join the team at a stunning 30,000 sq ft private estate in Santa Ynez. This role is ideal for someone who holds five-star hotel standards, communicates clearly, and thrives in a polished, fast-paced household environment. Must also work well in a team setting, including alongside an Executive Housekeeper, and Ranch Manager.
The ideal candidate is:
• Tech-savvy + comfortable with Apple products
• Fluent in English and an excellent communicator
• Physically active (stairs, errands, walking the property)
• Experienced in high-end or luxury residences
• A team player who works closely with an Executive Housekeeper & Ranch Manager
• Highly organized, discreet, and able to follow instructions thoroughly
Key Responsibilities:
Shopping & Errands
• Grocery runs twice weekly (Mon/Fri)
• Purchase household and cleaning supplies (in-store & online)
Mail & Deliveries
• Collect/sort mail & packages
• Greet vendors and manage front-door activity
Laundry & Linens
• Full laundry care: wash, dry, fold, iron, line-dry
• Press linens and sheets; daily towel laundering
• Daily bed making + linen changes (Mon/Fri)
• Track dry-cleaning items
Daily Housekeeping
• Daily cleaning, dusting, vacuuming
• Clean all bathrooms daily
• Manage trash & recycling
• Weekly floor washing (or as needed)
• Maintain organized drawers, closets, kitchen, pantries
• Hand-wash wine glasses & gold-rimmed china
• Polish silver as needed
• Sweep/mop garage 1–2x/month
When Principals Travel
• Deep cleaning + organization projects (drawers, storage, basement, garage)
Vendor & Maintenance Support
• Supervise all vendors onsite
• Coordinate scheduling with Estate Manager
• Allow florist access Mondays & Fridays
• Report maintenance issues proactively
Organization & Projects
• Maintain inventories, shopping lists, maintenance logs
• Support special household projects
• Professional email communication with the team
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role within a high-end residence
• Strong organizational + multitasking skills
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented
• Able to walk/stand/lift throughout the workday
