Energetic & Kind Companion/Caregiver (JOB CLOSED)

Position: Companion/Caregiver
Location: Pasadena
Pay: $20/hour gross DOE, Paid sick days per/CA law

Schedule:Full Time, Monday-Friday 6:45am-6:45pm or later if you’d be willing to stay. Overtime rates apply. This family is open to hiring 6 days a week as well if you’d like more hours.

Start Date: ASAP

Our client is looking for an energetic caregiver. He is terminally ill and needs a motivating companion to help with everything from getting him out of bed in the mornings, to going on brisk walks, encouraging him to take his pills (up to 45/day) and to drink his shakes throughout the day. This position is for someone who genuinely loves to help others and will pitch in wherever needed to assist in making our clients life easier. A successful candidate will know how to motivate and inspire, as our client is often very exhausted and needs someone who can be constantly encouraging and on top of things when he can’t find the energy to take care of his needs. A safe vehicle is necessary as you will be driving him to the hospital and various places. You will be reimbursed for mileage. He is a very well humored gentleman when he’s feeling well, so a companion who has a happy disposition would be the best fit.

This is a fully staffed home. There are also nannies, assistants, and family members in this home, including his 2 young children.
